"Joanne created a care plan tailored to my individual needs. I am beyond happy! I feel more equipped to manage breastfeeding & a recourse. I highly recommend Joanne if you are planning to breastfeeding"
Courtney
"Joanne was so amazing working with my daughter who refuses to take a bottle. She quickly discovered her issues and gave me techniques to work with her on that successfully allowed her to properly drink some from the bottle. Its a work in progress but I would highly recommend her as she helped so much in just the short period we met with her!"
Nicole
"Highly recommend Joanne's Prenatal BF Class! She simplifies it & makes the process approachable. I learned enough to get me started, feel like a f/u consultation with her would be well worth my time."
Mariah
"Joanne was so helpful to me and my little one when we were dealing with latching issues and I was experiencing pain during nursing. She provided us with exercises and resources to help our baby’s tongue tie and oral tension for better/less painful latching and feeding. She was quick to respond to questions I had and I am so appreciative of her expertise and support through my breastfeeding journey!

"Walked in with very minimal breastfeeding knowledge and walked out feeling more confident as I prepare to welcome my first baby! I hope to be off to a great start when my little one arrives, however, I feel comfortable and confident to reach out to MadeOfGoldLactation if I need any help! "

"Joanne was referred to us because we needed help with our baby who was refusing the bottle. After one visit with Joanne, my baby started showing great signs of progress. Joanne was extremely thoughtful and thorough in her assessment of our baby. She also is extremely sweet and has a natural and playful way of interacting with our baby. Her communication and plan moving forward was clear and felt achievable. We are very grateful for Joanne and look forward to continuing to work with her!"

"I got so much out of this class and have already started recommending it to other soon to be mamas. It truly felt like such a comfortable space to be able to ask questions and learn without judgement. Will likely schedule a follow up once baby is born to ensure everything is going well."
Brittany
"She is knowledgeable & kind. Once I contacted her, she was very responsive & prioritized time for us to meet. She was detailed, great with my baby & provided multiple resources. I am more confident."
Stephanie
"This class was so well done! I am going to be a first time mom with no prior knowledge of breastfeeding. This class went over so much information in a clear way that has made me feel better about being a new mom. I would recommend it to everyone!"
Rebecca
"Joanne is a lactation magician…except it’s not actually magic and she will share everything she knows with you! She is a wealth of knowledge, kind, and an amazing teacher. It was super easy to schedule an appointment and she had immediate availability, which felt huge in those panicked moments within the early days of breastfeeding. The intake forms were thorough in a way that helped to ensure that my concerns were addressed effectively & efficiently within the allotted time. Joanne came by for the initial consultation merely two days after we got home from the hospital as well as for a follow up about a month later all while promptly answering questions & providing support/resources in between visits via a HIPAA compliant messaging system. She met me where I was at and helped me kick off my breastfeeding journey including managing engorgement, providing the 101 with regards to positions, different ways to express milk, measured me for flange inserts, weighed our baby before & after feeds, showed me how to use a pump as well as how to introduce a bottle, improved latching when I was experiencing a bleb and some pain, and so much more. Most importantly, those early postpartum days are vulnerable - everything’s new, you’re exhausted, etc. and Joanne is exactly who you want to assist you. She is friendly & warm, nonjudgmental, gentle, respectful, and very encouraging. It is clear she loves what she does and it was such a positive experience working with her. Lastly, Joanne is a dog lover which gave me one less thing to worry about when our 1 year old pup was energetically welcoming her to our home :)
I could go on and on. Joanne is incredibly skilled and has my strongest recommendation - I just wish I’d known about her prenatal classes and had connected with her sooner but nonetheless, very grateful for all of her help!"

"Joanne was nothing short of an absolute pleasure to work with. I was initially given her contact info from a wonderful friend, so I knew I would be great hands. At first I didn’t know what I might gain from meeting with her given my background as a labor and delivery nurse, but with challenges like increasing insulin needs during my pregnancy for gestational diabetes, I knew I wanted all the help and advice I could get so I could do what was best for my baby. Joanne’s love of educating new moms is so evident and her personality is warm, friendly and kind, all the things a worried new mom or mom to be needs. She is so easy to communicate with and her wealth of knowledge is invaluable. She is so responsive to her messages, not only is she quick to reply but she is always providing words of encouragement. To my surprise, I walked away from our prenatal appointment with information that was new to me and have been able to use as I prepare for the arrival of our first baby. I highly recommend Joanne for prenatal consults and I’m looking forward to working with her again postpartum once our little one is here."

"I found Joanne when I was in the midst of dealing with two breast abscesses. I was recovering from the first one and truly wanting to maintain the relationship I had with my baby of exclusively breastfeeding. I reached out to her and she called me in less than one business day later. When she arrived at my home for our appointment she was everything you would want and need a lactation consultant to be as you try to navigate a very vulnerable time in life. My baby loved her as did I. She provided additional help with his tongue tie by offering exercise and guidance on how to help him latch more easily. We followed up about 6 weeks later and she came with the cutest coffee mug to remind me how strong I have been while navigating breastfeeding issues and painful moments in my experience thus far.
Joanne and I have stayed in touch through Spruce and she has provided advice many times on all the new things that come along with a growing infant like starting solids, nighttime wake ups, distracted nursing etc. Joanne is always there and always answers with great advice.
Of all the people who cared for me during pregnancy, delivery and postpartum I have never met a person as kind and truly genuine as Joanne. She is in love with helping new mommas feel confident and comfortable as they begin their journey and build a beautiful bond with their baby. Without her I wouldn’t be nursing right now. I give her so much love and gratitude. "
