Prenatal Breastfeding Class - Root+Rise April 30th 5pm

GOLD Beginnings
A Trauma-Informed Breastfeeding Class

Feel confident. Feel supported. Feel safe.

GOLD Beginnings is a prenatal breastfeeding class created for mothers who want gentle, evidence-based guidance in a supportive, trauma-informed space. This isn’t a rigid, one-size-fits-all course—it’s a compassionate environment where your emotional well-being is just as important as your feeding goals.

Who This Class Is For

  • Anyone seeking preparation without pressure, guilt, or shame
  • Expecting mothers who feel anxious or uncertain about breastfeeding
  • Moms with a history of anxiety, depression, or perinatal mood challenges
  • Survivors of trauma who want a consent-based, emotionally safe learning space
  • Highly sensitive or overwhelmed mothers who need calm, grounded guidance
  • Whether breastfeeding feels exciting, intimidating, or somewhere in between—you are welcome here.

What You’ll Learn

  • Antenatal Hand Expression
When and how to safely collect colostrum during pregnancy
  • The Golden Hour & Early Initiation
The role of skin-to-skin, delayed bathing, and your baby’s natural “breast crawl”
  • Positioning & Latch Techniques
Clear, supportive instruction to help you achieve a comfortable, effective latch
  • Milk Supply & Supplementation
How to recognize true low supply and use paced bottle feeding when needed
  • Nipple Care & Feeding Tools
Practical ways to prevent and manage soreness, and guidance on when tools like nipple shields may help

Whether you plan to exclusively breastfeed, pump, or combine feeding methods, this class will give you the knowledge and confidence to make informed, empowered choices for your family.

My goal is simple: to help you begin your feeding journey feeling calm, prepared, and supported.
